Sherí Barros is a 15-year veteran of professional sports marketing, having worked in the front offices of franchises in the NFL, NBA, and MLB. She launched her professional career with the 83rd PGA Championship, at the time, the 11th largest sporting event in the world.
Sherí currently serves as a Director at Atlanta-based sports marketing agency, CSE, where she advises on strategy, negotiation and management of clients’ national sports marketing portfolio. Her team manages sports partnerships across the U.S. Prior to joining CSE, Ms. Barros led the marketing department for Spurs Sports & Entertainment. Sherí began her tenure managing marketing for the now five-time NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs, and was eventually promoted to overseeing brand marketing for all Spurs Sports & Entertainment properties [NBA Spurs, WNBA Stars, AHL Rampage, & non-profit foundation]. During her tenure in San Antonio, the Spurs won several marketing and advertising awards. Ms. Barros was fortunate to be a part of a well-respected business operations team: ESPN ranked the Spurs 3rd of all 122 major U.S. pro sports franchises in fan affinity and successful business practices. Prior to the Spurs, Ms. Barros spent time in the front offices of several teams, including the Oakland Raiders, Atlanta Falcons, and Texas Rangers.
Giving back both personally and professionally continue to be a primary focus in a rewarding and ever-evolving career. Sherí has served on the Executive Committee of Atlanta’s American Heart Association “Go Red for Women” campaign. An advocate of diversity in the sports entertainment industry, she has spent the past 3 years on the National Sports Forum’s “Business of Diversity in Sports & Entertainment” Steering Committee. Sherí also served as the keynote speaker for the American Marketing Association in Austin and San Antonio. A native of Atlanta, Ms. Barros holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University and a Master’s from the University of North Texas.
